Law Enforcement - Beyond the Fines

“He asked me my name, entered the details on his Blackberry and gave me a receipt for Rs.100 paid as fine towards the Parking violation. Most importantly, he showed me areas in the vicinity where i could park from now on and not violate the law.”

While a majority of policemen are on a constant look out for prospective bribers, there are some who prefer to abide by the laws that they are meant follow and enforce on others. This policeman from Mangalore is one such law-abiding government servant who re-instils our faith in the police force, who are more often than not, in the news for all the wrong reasons.
