Money flows like water to fix water officials

No water in your place. Then, if your instant approach is to dig a borewell andsolve the issue, you are like countless others who will make your City dry very soon.
Groundwater exploitation is an issue of major concern all over the country. A perturbed respondent from New Delhi shares his concern over the rampant digging of bore wells without the required permission for it from the local water authority. Cops and water board officials took advantage of the plight of the public and demanded huge bribes, sometimes even running above Rs 1, 00, 000 to turn the other eye http://www.ipaidabribe.com/bribe-central/price-water-1
Another respondent from Hyderabad wrote that he was asked to pay Rs 2, 00,000 as bribe to the water supply inspector to extend his water pipeline by a few inches. Not willing to pay the money demanded, the respondent decided to dig a new borewell to meet the water scarcity his family faced http://www.ipaidabribe.com/bribe-central/water-supply-inspector-asked-me-2-lakh-rupee-bribe.
As per the regulations laid down by the Central Ground Water Board, borewells must be separated by a distance of 200 to 300 ft. However, water tanker operators dig numerous borewells illegally to pump huge gallons of water and rake in profits.
Karnataka introduced a stringent Karnataka Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management)Act, 2011 in connection with digging of borewells. Maharashtra, Punjab, New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have introduced similar regulations to conserve water in their States.
Unless implemented and monitored strictly, these regulations merely remain powerful paper documents.
