Do you think being a politician earns you lot of privileges? Think again.
IPS officer D Roopa, during a brief stint as head of the City Armed Reserve (CAR) in Bangalore, has made efforts to make the assignment of orderlies more transparent. VIP or VVIP politicos and bureaucrats who use the state resources as their own especially the police personnel, were given a reality check. “Policemen ought to be policing, not doing personal chores for politicians.” says a retired DGP rightfully in response to D Roopa's actions.
