Working in aviation has always been a profession looked upon with pride. However, the stakes involved in this glamorous profession are pretty high.

A respondent from New Delhi had to wait for five months to get his licence changed from an American Commercial Pilot License (FAA CPL) to an Indian one. After paying Rs 30,000 to an agent, the respondent finally managed to get the licence. Read more at:  http://www.ipaidabribe.com/bribe-central/getting-my-commercial-pilots-license-processed.

Another respondent from the City was not so lucky. He spent Rs 5 lakhs in his attempt to get posted as a pilot in a popular airline.  He had applied for a loan of Rs 27 lakhs in connection with the job.

He paid Rs 1, 10,000 in advance for application and another Rs 3,90,000 for other formalities. He was asked to wait for more time. http://www.ipaidabribe.com/bribe-central/my-money-got-stuck-after-giveen-bribery-rs-110000.

The hapless pilot aspirant made repeated requests for his money to be returned. He received empty excuses in return. With neither money nor job in hand, he is in a miserable state now.

Our portal has quite a few similar cases. If one can enter the airline industry after payment of a good amount as a bribe, one wonders the security implications of it, particularly in light of 9/11.
