Paid Bribe for renewal of Passport

In Oct 0 I got a job offer in Middle East and incidently as my old Passport had exired in Jan '10 here was immidiate requirement for the new Passport. I was advised through some officials that if I approach through an agent and pay an additional Rs 4500 I would get the new Passport within 3 working days. I had no other option, else I would lose that job offer if I didn't gave them a valid passport in the next couple of days.
