Registration Certificate under Karnataka Shops and Establishments Act
- Labour
- New Labour License and Registration
- Paid INR 1,500
I have made two online applications for Labour Registration (Registration under Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, first one one on 22/09/2017 which was rejected without assigning any reasons after 20 days. I resubmitted the application on 08/11/2017.
It was rejected again after 20 days, without providing any reasons. I resubmitted the application on 07/12/2017 which is still pending...
I made another application for a different establishment on 28/11/2017 which again got rejected without providing any reasons.
I tried to get in touch with the Labour department on phone. They simply said you have to visit their office.
Finally, I had to send one of my office staff to find out the reasons for rejections.
The inspector demanded Rs.3,000 to clear the certificate, which after bargaining, was settled at Rs.1,500/-
My staff reported that he saw a long queue for similar case.
It has become a regular exercise now. Either you visit their office and pay up or you get nothing!
