Did not pay bribe for passport verification
The police official repeatedly asked me for different documents. Everytime he asked, I would go home and fetch the document he asked, even though I knew he is only making excuses so that I will ask him how much money he wants. Then he asked me for a photo. I gave one, he said it is not the same photo as the one in my passport application (Imagine, these are the guys we hope to catch criminals just by description!). I said I can go home and get the exact same photo. He said "Oh sir, so many times you have to go again and again.". I said no problem, I understand you have a procedure and rules to follow. Please tell me what you want, I will get it. Realizing that I will not come to negotiating table, he relented and said "No problem sir, go home, we will manage with this photo only". Although I was worried that he may reject my application or just bury it and not respond on it, thankfully I got my passport a few days later.
