Home registration done by refusing to pay bribe

Builder was putting pressure to pay 10K as bribe at sub-registrar office for doing apartment registration. Denied it outright and asked to send information of this 'misc charges' / 'facilitation charges' (as builder put it) by email. In the end builder did registration without the bribe and I got the sale deed.
