Immigration - Service at a cost
Landed in B'lore from Chicago on Air France flight - arrival 0100am in Dec 2010 with wife and two kids 2 and under. As I made my way to immigration I was met by an young man in suit who guided us to "Mothers with children" counter. Now, the computer at that terminal was not working. So, this man collected our passports, handed it to the guy behind the counter next line, and left. We got thru' immigration fast. I was thrilled at the proactive help. Sure enough once I got thru' immigration this guy came up and said "I saved you an hour at immigration. If you feel like giving me something I will take it - including foreign currency." Before I could fish my wallet from my pocket to "tip" him my wife said - "No." And, he vanished.
