It hurts if you resist
I was stopped by a traffic policeman opposite Manipal Centre on Dickenson Road who alleged that I had jumped the signal while turning from MG Road. I told him that I had not jumped the signal. He asked me to pay a bribe to let me go which I refused. He not only booked me for jumping the signal but added "using mobile while driving". I was stopped about a week later and was not allowed to proceed unless the fine for both offences was paid.
