Other State Vehicle in Maharashtra: Process of paying Road Tax RTO
IF YOU FACE ANY DIFFICULTY DURING THIS PROCESS ********** THE ASST RTO Mr. GADSINGH or Mr ******* . Do not hasitate. HE WILL LISTEN TO YOU. I found him helpful.
Other State Vehicle in Maharashtra: Process of paying Road TaxThis is very simple and can be done in a single visit at RTO office. Documents Required: -
1.Vehicle Insurance (1 Xerox)
2.Vehicle Registration card/Book (1 Xerox)
3.PUC (1 Xerox)
4.Address Proof (Lease Agreement or any thing else) – An affidavit will work in absence of address proof. (1 Xerox)
5. Vehicle Original invoice (1 Xerox) – in case if you do not have original invoice, you can get a quotation from any local dealer for same vehicle.
6.AT Form
7.FT Form
8.Proof of transportation of the vehicle by bus/truck/train etc. Carry a copy of its receipt they ask for it otherwise they charge fine assuming that you are using the vehicle without paying the tax.
Process:
1.Fill up the AT, FT forms. Get Chassis number on the right upper corner and right bottom corner of the both forms using pencil
2.Make a set of all above documents and staple them. Keep AT and FT form on the top.
3.Go to RTO officer H. S. Gadsingh, he sits next to next of Room number-9 ( Cash room). (*)
4.You need to get GadSingh’s signature on AT and FT forms.(This is called “Getting order from Saab” in RTO terms).
5.Request GadSingh to write “Accept OTT” on above form and give signature on both forms.
6.Once you get GadSingh’s signature, go to Room number-9(called Cash Room).
7.A Lady sits there, ask him “I have other state vehicle and want to pay road tax. I got order from Saab, Please calculate the amount of tax. Show the set of documents to her”.
8.On AT/FT form, she will calculate the tax( 7% of vehicle cost).
9.She will ask you to show your original RC-Book. Using Vehicle registration ********** and today’s **********, she will calculate depreciation.
10.And then she will write amount to be paid = (7% of vehicle cost – depreciation).
11. Take all the documents and go to cashier (in same room) and pay the amount.
12. Cashier will give you two copies of receipt. One is original(i.e. your copy) and another one is carbon copy. Attach the carbon copy on the top of set of documents and go to next room of room no-9.
13. Submit the set of documents to Mr. Patange. Your work is done.
14.Go and enjoy the ride of your bike/car on Maharashtra roads without any tension.
(*) – In absence of GadSingh, you can get same thing done from RTO officer Jawalkar. Note: - 1. 2nd and 4th Saturday are non working day for RTO. 2. Taking your vehicle to RTO not required. 3. OTT = One Time Tax 4. By paying road tax, you can use your vehicle in MH as well as your original state of vehicle.
