Jumped a signal

Reported on September 25, 2010 from Chennai , Tamil Nadu  ι Report #33293

I crossed a signal at a key junction too fast once on my bike, crossing the speed limit. The traffic policeman stopped me. I took out my license and insurance papers. He started filling the traffic violation sheet. He checked my papers. I signed the sheet. Paid Rs.300 as fine. He filled up my receipt and handed it to me. All within ten minutes.

I said thank you and left. No conversation throughout. Only me saying "thank you".

For the first time, I felt proud that day that I was punished.
