Bribe for agricultural land registration at sub-registrar office, Malavalli
- Stamps and Registration
- Land Registration
- Paid INR 9,500
We were waiting to register our agricultural land for more than a year - because the survey sketches were not forthcoming. It took more than a year to get the sketches. Now after a year of many dejections and frustrations (we were forced to pay bribe even to get the surveys done and sketch done - to the Revenue inspector and Village accountant, thats another story ) we finally arrived at the sub-registrar office with our lawyer to register the land. In spite of having all documents in order and everything legally obtained and duly certified, for a land area of little over 5 acres, we were made to pay a bribe of nine thousand and five hundred. Even after one month, I still don't see the mutation initiated for the survey numbers we purchased.
