Bribe paid for police verification at Byapanhalli Police Station

19th July 2019 : Since i keep switching cities due to my job i don't generally update my address in any of my documents. I just had my rent agreement and a letter from my company's HR which was accepted my the passport officer but the police officer at the police station told every other document as an address proof which i did not have and then threatened me that he will send adverse report. I told him ideally you must visit my address and verify that if i live there or not, what is the meaning of police verification otherwise. He started giving illogical explanations and then finally when i was leaving he asked for 'reward'. And i ended up paying whatever cash i had in my wallet. Getting a passport without bribing police officials is very rare.
