Me and many other office going people especially ladies (with children) were waiting from 8:30 AM.
The enrollment agency people didn't turn up till 11:00 AM.Except the security no one knows what procedure to follow. I came to know from others that in order to get bribe no one will give details of what to do.
At 11 Am, a lady came and told they will give only 30 application forms.
I did a rough calculation in mind. 30 applications, 15 min for each application, 2 computers.
15 Applications * 15 min = 225 Min = 4 hours. This is the what they work per day.
Good lord, only 4 hours of work per day, i also want to start an enrollment agency, Mr Nilekani. Just tell me how much bribe i have to pay you (Now anyhow i know how to get the double amount of my bribe).
Best part was - only 1 computer working, other employee just left the scene. Gone with the wind !
Since this was my 3rd day in a row of coming to the enrollment center, i asked what can be done to get the Aadhaar registration today (By this time, i have to put half day leave, as i need to travel another 18KM to reach my office)
Alas !! came a simple solution.. 100 bucks will do the trick. Inspite of withholding the same for 2 days, i gave up.. paid 100 bucks,
Note - This is the "Application fee" , as per employee, not the "Bribe".
After paying the bribe, my application had previous day's date and already a sing was there of my documents being verified... A separate queue was quickly formed for people who gave bribe and with 1 hour waiting i finally got enrolled.. done and dusted..
Many people are coming from 4-7 days. There are not getting application, coz application costs 100 bucks, now poor people who come with two kids have to shelve out 200 or more. So they are returning, hoping tomorrow atleast the employees will show mercy
AAdhaar will become the biggest scam in no time.
India Shining !! Jai Hind
