Paid bribe for Passport verification

I received SMS from a mobile 9468283565 asking me to visit Subhash Chowk police station in Gurgaon for passport verification with address proof. When I visited police station Mr. Anil Kumar asked me to fill the verification form and took the address proof. And then asked me "Aur baton?" again and again. I understood he wants me to pay bribe. I paid R.s 500, but he insisted to pay another 500 rupees, since he also needs to pay other officials. I had no other options, but paid the bribe of Total Rs. 1000.
