I have applied for a new passport for my wife in april,10 2011 and finally May 31 police verification process started and one person came to my home from Ramachandrapuram ploice station to complete the process, after taking all the formalities, he asked us 500/- and he is saying it is a universal truth then we paid 500, otherwise he will send wrong information to passport dept.
