For my wife's passport verification an official from CID came to my house and asked for Rs. 2500 as bribe. He even thretened me to bear the consequences if his demand is not met. Since I was in hurry to get my wife's passport made I negotiated with him on the amount and finally paid Rs. 900 to hin. In the next round of verification a few days later the local police inspector (from Indirapuram P.S.) took Rs. 300 as bribe.
