Tatkal application for Passport.

Hi there,
I had to apply passport for my new born and was in India for a couple of days only, I was told by my family and friends that getting passport in Tatkal would also take at least 30 to 60 day's. And advised that I catch hold of some agent. I did exactly the same thing, got hold of an agent he asked for all my documents and said would charge INR 12,000/-. And we would get the passport in 12 days. And believe me, on the 12th day passport was delivered.
I wonder why there is no sincerness in the work without money.
