Traffic Signal

Reported on May 6, 2014 from Nagpur , Maharashtra  ι Report #40822

I was at the traffic signal leaving from school on a two wheeler moped when on the traffic signal I was stopped by a police officer and he asked me to give him my license. I was naive and started requesting him to let me go. I told him that I had read in the RTO that if requested properly and apologized to ,the officer can will let go off with a warning. But he didn't budge and scared me by telling me that I had committed a crime of upto 5000 rupees payable by not having my number plate properly assigned, and upon asking further he refused to specify the actual problems. His badge was facing down so I couldn't catch his name. I paid him 500 rupees to let me go off ,which was all that I had during that time in my wallet. I regret what I did and the way I was tricked.
