Arunachal CM vows to fight corruption
Namsai (Arunachal Pradesh), Jan 23 (IANS) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday vowed to fight corruption tooth and nail so that welfare programmes percolate down to the needy and the state progressed on all fronts.
"Corruption is the only stumbling block, which if tackled sincerely, will make Arunachal Pradesh, with its resources, outgrow many other states," Khandu told a gathering here, organised to celebrate the Bharatiya Janata Party's completion of one year in power in the state.
He warned of action against anyone found involved in corruption, irrespective of his or her position or office.
Reiterating that he has recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the infamous Public Distribution System scam, Khandu said it was just the beginning of his fight against corruption.
The Chief Minister called upon the people to cooperate with the government in its fight against corruption and the shutdown culture.
