Adherence to ethics does ultimately lead to success.

Reported on November 30, 2011 from Jodhpur , Rajasthan  ι Report #31414

Courtesy the support of many well-wishers and finally the extensive use of RTI during the last few months, we have just received Government of Rajasthan's approval letter for the conversion of balance 101 bighas of land also, which they had been insisting for us to surrender to the government.

To end our indefinite fast at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi during April 2011, the state government had given us conversion approval for 135 bighas and promised to convert the remaining 101 bighas also after the due process was completed. Despite our having completed the due process immediately after the end of the indefinite fast, later the government went back on its commitment and insisted us to surrender 101 bighas to the government citing the ceiling limit. In view of this, we refused to accept the conversion of 135 bighas also unless the entire 236 bighas was converted, without surrender of any land to the government.

I am glad that we have succeeded yet again to get the conversion approval for the entire 236 bighas of our campus site land without any compromise on our core value of ethics.
