My dealer asked to pay up Rs5000 as under table money for registration of my vehicle in Mumbai

I was requested to pay a under table amount of Rs5000 for registration of my vehicle which I refused to pay. I suspect that subsequently they would have adjusted the amount from the dealer margin.
