Ingenious trick, you have to admit! Why dont you write to the RTO about this problem? On our part, we will include this in our road transport FAQs, so that at least those that see our website are forewarned. Thanks for the tip!

RTO, Karnataka website details documents needed for renewal of Driving license.When one reaches the RTO with all these documents complete one is asked to attach a stamped self addressed envelop for despatching the renewed license by post.The "agents" at the RTO charge Rs.25 to Rs.30 more than stamp value for the envelop with stamp.Why RTO is not updating the website and also why no action against the "agents" who are operating in the vicinity of RTO independently or as Xerox shops etc ?
