100 Rs for expired bike insurance

I was stopped by the cops randomly and asked to show bike papers. My insurance had expired and cop said he would challan me for 500 Rs. I said OK. Then he kept reminding me that it is 500 Rs. I understood he wants me to settle it for less. I asked otherwise how much, he said 300. I thought of messing up with his head. I said either I will give you 100 only or you challan me for 500, no problem. One should have seen the look on his face. :)
