For an accident case I as a victim has to pay the amount.
- Police
- Filing FIR
- Paid INR 2,500
I wanted to bring this to notice that My father died of an accident where one college boy driving rashly hit him on the wrong side of the road and he was there in hospital for 20 days in coma before died. I have been asked repeatedly for bribes.
1). In the hospital by nurses for taking care of him properly ( Though its their duty. )
2). While to discharge him police needs to come to the spot since they have not investigated the case before that. I had a case already filed at a police station where they wrote the FIR but in the end they said its on the other side of the road so its not their case. The hospital had an MLC filed in the respective police station no one came during the 20 days for verification. I was not allowed to take my father's body out of hospital unless police comes and investigates. We had to request him many times and with suggestion from outsiders we paid some bribe , he immediately came and did the work.
3). We had a postmortem. There we had to pay bribe to the doctor and Police to claim the body of my father.
4). After funeral when I wanted to follow up the case police wanted bribe to take action i.e. to cease the vehicle which caused the accident. Then I was asked by the police officer in charge to ********** him.
5). When I went to ********** him he asked me bribe to continue the case and take action against the boy who did that, and warned me not to tell anybody.
I didnot pay bribe only the last time. But the other previous instances I had to pay amount.
It is highly unethical.
