I had the background verification for passport in Papanasam ( Thanjavur ) and in Kuniamuthur ( Coimbatore ). People in both police station pushed me to pay the bribe of Rs.200 each. I knew that I have to pay the bribe amount but acted like I was not aware of it. Even then, they did not leave me. They demanded indirectly that they needed money for some office stationery things. I had no other option but pay the beggers the bribe amount.
