Everybody knows about this Bloody BMRCL-Metro project in Bengaluru. We had a commercial property measuring 100x100 on the main road. I think it was unfortunate or our Bad Luck a station was planned in our property including many others. since it was a central Govt development project and for the "welfare of people" we could not get a stay on it. BMRCL agreed to pay 6.7 crores with 10% tax(i.e, we get just 6 crores). We were not satisfied but had to be content as the amount was just 40% of what the property is worth today. But the real problem came when the money was to be sanctioned. The registrar at BMRCL was not ready to sign on papers not giving us any reason. We later found out that it was not something wrong with papers but BRIBE... With no other option we agreed to pay him but can u guess the amount he demanded...????? 5% of compensation money... We were like WTH...!!! After 2 weeks he agreed to accept a bribe of 15,00,000/-... can u believe that... 15lacs...!!!! We lost our whole property, had to pay 67lacs as income tax and a bribe of 15lacs to govt officials... THIS IS *******
