Bribe for drug selling license
- Food and Drug Administration
- License for Sale of Drugs
- Paid INR 60,000
Hi, i paid a bribe for getting a drug selling license, even though i had complied with all rules & regulations which are mandatory to get a license. There is a truth in the story, which is told to every new person in the medical device field that you will not be given a license if you do not bribe as there are many loopholes in the rules of the drug and cosmetic act, and they can hold you accountable and shut your business on small, meaningless issues. Even when they come to you for yearly inspections, they take a bribo of about 20,000 with no reason at all. If you dont pay a bribe then you run the risk of your license being cancelled and shutting shop. Please this is serious issue, and the system needs to change so that honest businessmen can work with some pride and dignity. The inspection officers are so rude when they come to inspect as if we are already found guilty in our respective business. Thank you for your initiative and we all hope for a change. This is common and easily verifiable if medical device dealers are approached in mumbai.
