Bribe for filing a Lost Article report

I paid a bribe of 100 rupees to get a lost passport report registered. The police officer on duty even made me get a signed affidavit before filing the complaint. Although the affidavit is only required by the passport office and not by the police station.
He asked me for a 1000 bucks but i gave 100 rupees only.

Disgusted at the way the system works.
