I had applied for passport renewal under tatkal category . its been over a month now . i was suppose to get it in a weeks time.The status showed that it is ready but on enquiry it says it is not , We employed an agent to find out the status and came to know that it will be released only if you pay a bribe as there is a series of appointments he has to pay to move the file. And this is inspite of moving the passport applications through the RPO. what beats me is that To get my sons passport earlier which was applied in the regular category , when we didnt get it after 10 months we met up the RPO he says "Why did you apply in the regular category".
Now when i apply for mine in the tatkal category paying the extra fee..... I land up paying a bribe just so that i dont waste my time moving from one desk to another for days just to get the supposedly most important document...
