Bribe paid for Police Clearance verification for my Tatkal passport

This incident happened in 2002. As there is no option to put that date above Im mentioning it here. I had applied for Tatkal passport as I had to leave on company work at short notice. There was lot of harrassment at the Noida Passport office which was operating from Ghaziabad at that time. Next I was visited by two officials of Local Intelligence Unit at Noida for my police verification. They learnt that I was to leave abroad that same night, hence demanded rupees 4000/- or else they said my police verification report would be made negative and I'll not be able to travel. I said I didnt have that much amount with me, they didnt accept. They said take it out of ATM. They accompanied me to ATM at sector 29 and shamelessly took the cash and then cleared all my passport police verification.
