- Police Verification for Passport
- Paid INR 200
I paid a bribe for my Passport verification.
I applied for my passport sometime in late 2002(sep~oct time frame) and was waiting for my passport verification to come. I never heard back from anyone. I went to police station couple of times and they said they don't know. Few weeks later a frnd's brother went to police station to check the status of his passport and he saw my name and address. He said that this guy is my friend have you done with his verification, then the one of the police said my frnd to go my home and inform that i need to come to police station for verification. Thanks to my frnd, he informed me and i went to police station for verification.
Even though i new 1/2 of the staff in that police station, those s**kers asked me for money. They didn't do there job. no....no.....no.....they didn't even bother to do there job. Almost everyone knew me. After that the constable asked me Rs. 200/- as his fees.
I don't how much money they would have asked to person who doesn't know anyone at the police station.
