Boarded Howrah Mail on Oct 31, one station before the one that I had confirmed reservations from, with a open ticket for that leg. Was keen on paying the actual diff in fare for one station in 3rd A/C (around Rs. 750) but Ticket Checker (TC) opted for Rs. 300 in cash instead. I let it be though I feel otherwise now.
