After numerous complaints , the very busy officials of the electricity department blessed us with their visit , to change a faulty meter(East Delhi).
After changing the meter , the guy rang the house bell. He says 'Ho gaya hai ji aapka meter change'. I was like 'Okay , Thanks a lot. Anywhere i need to sign ?'.
He says 'Hanji , yaha sign karo'.
After i signed that document , i wanted to close my door. But , the guy just kept standing there. He kept standing there even after i somehow closed that door. He rings the bell again, after 5-6 minutes or so. I open the door.
He says , in a very demanding voice, Chai paani dijiye kuchh. He wasn't asking for it , he was telling me to give it to him. Thinking that ignoring him might lead to him damaging my meter or not returning to my complaints ever again, i gave him Rs.200.
He says '500-600 dijjiye'. Then it just got enough.
I said 'Chahiye hai to rakh lo, varna dedo vapas'. So keeping the money, he went away.
