DGFT says who asks you to set up an exporting firm?
I applied to the DGFT / IEC for a registration number to make some exports from Hyderabad. The application was pending for more than a month. I went to many tables but nothing happened. Finally I went and met the most senior person there. Instead of even showing me any courtesy, he was very rude, impolite. Still I explained my situation, and asked him to do the needful. He got into a more threatening posture, and scolded me that this country will not suffer if i did not export! I was shocked that such a senior officer uses such language. Finally, taking pity on me, the peon there directed me to the conduit - who took the bribe and gave me the certificate immediately.
