My friend and me were once on a street on our 2wheeler where Police were having surprise checks (as theft rate had gone up in that area few months ago). We were then checked for papers (driving license, insurance) we carried and found that our insurance had expired 5 days ago. My friend said he has the bill for the renewed insurance policy at his home (new insurance hadnt yet arrived). Police however fined us for Rs.100 stating that we didnt carry the appropriate papers (after we went back home and brought the receipts). I was happy since the policemen were courteous and told us our mistake and said the actual fine should have been around 2000rs and the police didnt ask for bribe but fined us AS PER LAW... but later when we came back home and checked the fine receipt they gave us.... they had actually charged us only 50. We stupids didnt check for how much amount they fined us!!! Hope all others also dont fall for this simple scam!!!
