If your dad wants to give a house as a gift the standard fees( bribe) above the registration fees that the govt charges in 1/2 % of the value to the registrar. (This guy seems to be sitting on top of the world among all god's photos and truth sayings on his back) No money in the office there is a little shop on the side where everything gets done efficiently without much harassment.

They should legalize and privatise this as escrow fees and everybody would be happy and guilt free.
