Had to bribe public servant twice for Passport verification

I had to shift my place of residence twice within a year after which my passport required renewal. I was asked to provide address proof which I had for both the places. However I had to pay bribe in two police stations for things to go smoothly.

I liked the word used for Bribe in one police station ' Police Verification *******
