Had to pay bribe, else my license would be sent to my Home town RTO

• Traffic Fines, Penalties, Rules
• Paid INR 500

I took my car in yellow signal , and the traffic police stopped me.. I tried to explain that i took the car in yellow and not red, but he doesnt want to listen .. asked me to pay 200Rs fine and i was happy that atleast he is honestly asking for the fine .. i payed using my credit card.

After paying the fine , when i asked for my license, he said as per the new process they will send the License to the RTO which issued it , I have a license from a city in chattishgarh and Our family has moved out of that city long back . He said you have to goto the RTO which issued the license to get it back there is no other way. I cannot travel to chattishgarh just to get my license back , when i pleaded for my license he started negotiating on how much bribe i can pay. I had to pay 500Rs as going to chattishgarh to get my license back was not an option.
