I Bribed !! for passport verification

I was asked for a bribe by 2 officials from the POLICE department, 1000/- And 800/-,respectively.
The reason given was if i dnt pay the bribe,my verification would go ********** under the huge pile of files,and perhaps i won't be able to get my passport,which was the urgent need of the hour,for me.
