I was asked to pay 2000 rup as FEES for marriage registration

Shabana Taj in the sub registrar office yelahanka asked us to pay 2000 rupees as fees for marriage registration on 25-feb-2017.. I came to know later that there are no charges. All the applicants were paying the amount.
