I bought a plot near Poonamallee, the Registration Dept. people wanted to make a survey/inspection of my plot. so they asked to pay the transportation charges (bribe) for inspection. My plot was less than 5 kms from the Poonamallee Registrar's Office for which they charged Rs. 2000/-
