We went to renew our passport and found a line so long that people had to come in the middle of the night and stand vigil. Then one guy approached us and said if you pay Rs 500/person, you can get to the front of the line and finish in one hour. It turns out he had placed his people in the queue and would replace them with the people who pay him the money. We do not know hwo many people were actually there like that, but since we had kids with us, we agreed to his terms..
