METER CHANGE

One night, our electricity meter caught fire and we were required to call the fire brigade. Next day, we lodged an FIR as per the procedures. The process of replacing the meter started with our giving a statement that more than sanctioned load was connected to the meter, so it caught fire. It ********** be noted that the fuse provided next to the meter was intact and also nothing happened to the wiring. Anyway, we cautioned that no extra load should be connected. We could get a new meter after paying a bribe.
