I applied for renewal of passport thru tatkal scheme. I received the passport without issue. After two weeks of time I received a call in my neighbor's phone and the police asked me to come to police station at 8PM. He started shouting at me saying the address is not clear and explained how he had rights to cancel my passport. There are 2 streets: First and Second. Normally we don't number the first street - as it is the main street and my other address proofs didn't have number 1. To be consistent, I put the name of the street without the number. The weird part is Police station is present in my street. He was making a big scene that he was trying to find this address for 3 days. He shouted at me like an accused. Then he was appeased after I paid him Rs.500. It seemed he had expected only Rs.300. After seeing 500 his tone changed and said he will take care of verification
