We planned to construct a commercial complex, and I applied for plan sanctioning from BBMP Malleshwaram in March, 2010. We planned to construct according to bye laws set by the BBMP, and I submitted plans accordingly. At first I was made to roam around their offices despite having clear documents. After being harassed for 4 months, I finally paid a bribe of 2 lakhs to get my work done in a week. However my problems did not end there, I contacted the BBMP recently to get a commencement certificate. That is when I learnt that the official who had taken the bribe, deliberately made me error in the sanction plans and therefore I cannot apply for the commencement certificate. When I contacted him on this he demanded Rs. 1 Lakh to have them corrected. I have been harassed, humilated and cheated , I hope no one else goes through this.
