I live in Magarpatta city, pune- where 70% of the residents are tenants.
Now-a-days it is mandatory for every tenant to get police verification (which is good).
However, when we apply for police verification in police station, the process is quite simple.
Submit the application with documents permanant address proof and Rs. 500 for each tenant and you get a stamp from police. Thats it. The charges (bribe) ********** vary according to your background, caste and permanant address (more charge for north indians).
