Railway seat reservation, creating a sense of scarcity when enough seats are available

I paid a bribe to secure a reserved seat. I was holding an unreserved ticket and there were many seats available for passengers like me. Railway staff kept this information to themselves and created a sense of lack of seat availability. After a while I found all those who got in without reservation managed to secure a seat after paying up between Rs 50-100 per seat.
