I went to file a FIR which was required in order to block my Airtel SIM card ( which was a life time connection). I went to the police station inside the Raxaul railway station. The police officers kept me waiting for a very long time. Then they took me to a corner & asked me Rs 800, saying only then they will register an FIR. I am a student & then I told them that it would be very difficult for me, because I have to buy a new phone & issue a new SIM card again. They agreed for 500 rupees. Then they wrote something on a paper, saying that it was an FIR. When I went to Airtel customer care, they were not accepting the FIR paper, saying that it did not have any file number. I went back to the police station, but they did not pay any heed anymore and just told me to go away. Then I returned to the Airtel office & on repeated requests blocked my SIM.
